Crafting Christian Musicals: Bringing Bible Stories to Life
I played a big role in a national musical, 'C'era una volta... Scugnizzi', and Disney classics have always been my thing. That musical passion led me to join the spiritual journey with Cantàmmo a Gesù, where I put all my creativity into two special musicals: 'Rallégrati,' telling the story of Jesus' birth, and 'M' Shalem,' about His journey to the Crucifixion. I wrote and produced the music for these works, and my amazing youth family in Naples performed them. It's not just music; it's our way of sharing faith and art together.

I've found my vocation in giving voice to the sacred in as many forms as possible. With a humble spirit, I've had the honor of contributing to projects for the "Servizio Nuove Forme di Evangelizzazione" in the Archdiocese of Naples—creating videos, producing soundtracks, and most significantly, lending my voice. Among these endeavors, a project close to my heart involves narrating the Bible for Don Michele Madonna's YouTube channel—with more projects like this to come.
Biography
Angelo Iossa, known simply as Iossa, was born in Caserta, Italy, in 1987, and stands as a versatile Singer, Songwriter, and Producer. As a Christian music artist, he draws inspiration from a diverse range of genres and styles. His journey unfolded in 2009 with a notable appearance on the talent TV show "Amici di Maria De Filippi," followed by a role in the musical "C'Era Una Volta… Scugnizzi” in 2010.
Post-musical, Angelo steered his performances and songwriting toward Electronic Dance Music, collaborating with various DJs and Producers. One of his standout EDM tracks, "Surrender," co-produced with Daddy’s Groove and Mindshake, gained significant popularity in 2013, thanks to David Guetta featuring and performing the song in his shows, with Iossa joining him on stage.
In 2015, Angelo released the acoustic session "Unplugged Live" as an album, featuring Emilio “Milo” Lanza, showcasing his musical diversity with the soulful ballad “Here I Am” following soon after.
Taking a significant step in his musical journey, Angelo released his first studio album, "Life Will Always Shine," in 2019 under Aftertouch Music, led by the Grammy-nominated producer Roger Ryan.
In the pursuit of a more introspective connection with his Christian faith, Angelo chose a temporary hiatus from the stage lights to focus on his roles as a husband, father, and engaged community member in Naples. He actively contributes to nurturing and mentoring the new generation of talents in the city.
Co-founding "Cantàmmo a Gesù!," one of Naples' pioneering Catholic music and musical theatre production companies, Angelo collaborates with a dedicated group of professionals, sharing his faith and dreams. Together, they work in the name of God to create meaningful and inspiring artistic expressions.
Angelo Iossa is currently based in Argentina with his family.
